Matthew Azus
Matthew Azus has been General Counsel and a Public Insurance Adjuster at Affiliated Adjustment Group since 2018. As a third-generation public adjuster, insurance and property damage are in Matthew’s blood.
He works diligently to achieve impressive results for his clients, working closely with them in preparing their claims to insurance carriers and working to negotiate a settlement to maximize recovery in their favor. His 8+ years of litigation experience provide the foundation for addressing a variety of legal issues that arise. Matthew began his legal career with Lerner, Arnold & Winston, LLP as a law clerk in 2008 before joining the firm as an Associate Attorney in 2010.
His litigation practice concentrated on first-party and third-party property damage matters. Matthew has researched and written numerous motions, pleadings, appellate briefs, and other legal documents in the New York State and Federal court systems. He has taken countless depositions regarding various types of property damage cases. Matthew’s trial experience includes successfully trying property damage matters to verdict while also utilizing his mediation and negotiation expertise to obtain successful settlements on behalf of his clients.
